CHARLES F. GONSO, age 92 passed away peacefully April 22, 2018, two weeks after the death of his wife of 70 years, Letha (Copeland) Gonso. Father of Janice (Dominick) Rubertino, Charles (Patricia) Gonso and Carol (Terry) Spring, grandfather of Kathleen, Charlie, Nick, Andy, Kayla and Beth, and loving great-grandfather. Proceeded in death by brother Fred (Ruby) Gonso and Jean Drake Schiavoni (Tony,) and parents Charles F. Sr. and Blanche Gonso Schoenbeck. Chuck was a Firefighter and Bailiff for the City of Euclid and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Piedmont during WWII. W. Traut Solomayer, M.D.
November 18, 1924 - May 6, 2017
.SOLOMAYER, W. Traut, M.D. passed away May 6, 2017. She was born November 18, 1924 In Romania and arrived in Cleveland in 1951. Dr. Solomayer started her dermatology practice in Euclid in 1958.
She volunteered with Doctors Without Borders servicing orphanages and senior citizens of Romania. She belonged to the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland, The Ohio State Medical Association, the AMA and the American Dermatological Association.
Dr. Solomayer enjoyed traveling with her husband, Dr. Joseph Solomayer, who passed away in 2010.
She is survived by her nephew Roger Wendling and nieces Ulrike Raps and Chrisitane Wendling, all of Germany.
Graveside services will be held 11am Tuedsay, May 23 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland.
Ruth J. Stenger
March 18, 1916 - January 7, 2018
RUTH J. STENGER (nee Barbic) was born March 18, 1916 in Lakewood, Ohio. She died January 7, 2018 at the age of 101 years. After attending Lakewood High School, she worked at a hostess for the YWCA Tea Room. She was active at the First Methodist Church in Cleveland where she met her husband Charles Stenger. They were married in October 1937 and moved into their home on their wedding day. They raised two sons, Charles and Craig (Robin.) She is grandmother to Jeremy, Rebecca, Emily and Abby, and great-grandmother to Bentley and Rylee. Ruth was active in many community and church groups, including the Euclid Public Schools PTA. She volunteered for the Christian Businessmen Bible School for children at the Euclid Projects during WWII, (sponsored by Nottingham Baptist Church.) She was a long time member of East Shore United Methodist Church in Euclid, where she was in the Women's Circle group and participated in missions. Ruth was a precinct leader for the Euclid Coalition Party for many years, and served 12 years as president of the Euclid Senior Group. She was an active member of the Euclid AARP and the Cleveland Sight Center. Ruth worked part-time for the Euclid City Recreation department as a registrar for many years. In 1987, she and her husband received recognition by the Euclid City Council and Mayor Giunta for 50 years of marriage. PRIVATE SERVICES. In lieu of flowers, please donate to you favorite charity.

LOYAL EDWARD LUIKART, JR. passed away March 23, 2017. He was born June 3, 1925 to the late Loyal Edward and Pauline (nee Reed) Luikart. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Roege) and daughter Lynn Elizabeth Luikart. His son, Loyal Edward III is deceased.
Loyal graduated from Euclid Schools, Baldwin Wallace Collage and Cleveland Marshall Law School. He was a member of the Euclid Kiwanis Club. His former memberships included the Euclid Jaycees, Euclid Rotary, Cleveland Council of Campfire Girls (past president,) Euclid Blade and Edge Figure Skating Club, Euclid Band & Orchestra Parents, Euclid School Board, Mayfield Curling Club and Euclid High School Alumni Organization.
Loyal was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater.
All services will be private.

Charles Preston Bryant, "Charlie", passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2016. Preceded in death by his father, Charles Peterson BRYANT, "Pete", of Euclid, Ohio; his grandparents, Edwin M. and Rossie J. (WEEKS) BRYANT of Clinton, NC and Bruce S. and Mildred "Kay" (TIDEY) RHODES of Kalamazoo, MI; his aunt, Polly M. (BRYANT) METZ of Dallas, TX. Charlie is survived by his mother, Ronna Kay (RHODES) BRYANT, his brother Christian E. and Danielle M. (SELAN) BRYANT, and their children Deaglan C. and Quinn C.
At the request of the family, private services were held with burial in the family plot at Mt Hope Cemetery, Solon, OH. There will be no further services. Our deepest gratitude and appreciation is extended to all the compassionate and caring medical professionals who have guided and cared for him, as well as to all who have held Charlie in the very special places in their hearts and prayers over his 47 years. It is through your love, care, kindness and prayers that Charlie surpassed his original life expectancy by four decades.

David A. Lawrence, age 67, husband of Nancy (nee Hagstrand), father of Scott (Bonnie) and Michael Lawrence, grandfather of Shelby and Peter Lawrence, brother of Greg Lawrence and Patricia (Nick) Connavino, brother-in-law of Bill (Sally) Hagstrand, uncle of Bradley and Mitchell Hagstrand, Emily Hanson, Rachel and Geoff Lawrence, and Michelle and Karen Connavino. A lifelong resident of Euclid, Dave had served on the Euclid City Board of Education and supported countless community initiatives. Mary Sue Allen (nee Ticchione), age 95, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late John Richard Allen for 61 years, cherished mother of three, John Richard Allen, Jr. (Grace), June Allen Kittle, and Laura Allen, loving grandmother of six, Michael Kittle, Maurine Kittle Loveman, Nathan Kittle (Laura), Matthew Kittle (Elena), Dane Tuzon and Jon-Dominic Allen, and the loving great-grandmother of seven, Morgan, John (Jack), Ava, Evelyn (deceased), and Thomas Kittle, Julia and Jenna Loveman. She is survived by her sister Theresa Perme, brother Anthony Ticchione, uncle Joseph Burgio, sister-in-law Loretta Ticchione, nephews John and Christopher Perme, Billy Ticchione, nieces Karen Perme Felix, Maria Perme, Ann Marie Ticchione, and many cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Ticchione, brothers Mark and Ignatius and nephew Anthony Ticchione, and brother-in-law Jack Perme.
Mary was an active member of the Red Hat Society, and loving friend to many. She remained active at McGregor Assisted Living for 5 years singing in their choir, and feeding the hummingbirds. The family wishes to thank all of the staff and her friends at McGregor for their assistance, caring and friendship.

Donald Edward Eros
February 20, 1932 - February 9, 2018
DONALD EDWARD EROS, 85, was born February 20, 1932 and passed on February 9, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Virginia Welling Eros for 58 years and the cherished father of three sons, David of Cleveland Hts., O., John of Ferndale, MI., and Mark of Painesville, OH., and grandfather of Taylor of Willowick, OH. He is survived by brother Ernest (Mary.) He was predeceased by his parents, Louis J. and Beatrice Porter Eros, sister Carol Eros and brother Louis S. Eros. Don graduated from Marietta High School in 1950 and attended 60 of his class reunions. In 1954 he graduated from Marietta College with a B.S. degree in chemistry. He then attended Ohio University for a year before going to work as a nuclear medicine technologist at the Cleveland V.A. Hospital from which he retired after thirty-three years. He was an active member of East Shore United Methodist Church where he served on several committees including the board of trustees. When his three sons were in Cub Scouts, he served as cub master for Pack 312. Don loved hunting and fishing and made a number of trips to Canada with his friends from Marietta, Ohio where he grew up. When he was able, he loved walking and riding his bicycle around the neighborhood. It was his desire that his remains be cremated with no public memorial services. His family wishes to extend their appreciation to all his caregivers and friends who have expressed their sympathy and condolence.
